Description of Planned Activities
- Language needs analysis of Health Care and Social Services workers.
- Data collection: texts, audio, visual, audio-visual and web authentic materials used in the field of Health and Social Services.
- Classification of data according to functionality and type of discourse, typical grammatical features and lexical components.
- Creating course materials: authentic and semi-authentic texts, text analysis, vocabulary building, tailored grammar exercises for Health Care and Social Services context.
- Setting up a series of significant communicative activities on issues related to Health Care and Social Services for developing and maintaining written and oral skills.
- Exploring the set up of on-line resource centre for students and the production of a CD-Rom.
