Theresa Beesley, PhD, is a Program Evaluation Specialist, for Medical Education in the Office of Accreditation and Education Quality Improvement. She uses a participatory evaluation approach to program evaluation, collaborating with stakeholders throughout the evaluation process to select appropriate content, models, methods and theory. Drawing on her expertise she supports faculty members during the development, coordination, planning and implementation of evaluation strategies that lead to the uptake of program evaluation recommendations and the continual improvement of medical education programs. Theresa completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Office of Health Science Education, Faculty of Health Sciences at Queen鈥檚 University in Kingston, Ontario where she gained valuable experience transitioning to competency-based medical education. She earned her Ph.D. from York University, Toronto, Ontario in Kinesiology and Health Science.
