Sports Safety: Game Changers in Cardiac Care of High-Performance Athletes

In the aftermath of Christian Eriksen’s devastating collapse from sudden cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener, the topic of sports safety will be addressed by Dr. Scott Delaney, head team physician from the Club de Foot Montreal and chief medical consultant for the National Hockey League Players’ Association and Cirque du Soleil. He will be joined by Dr. François de Champlain, and by Olympians Dr. Joannie Rochette and Jacqueline Simoneau, Ìýto discuss comprehensive athlete care, from screening and evaluation to intervening on the sidelines. This panel discussion will be moderated byÌýWRAH Student Committee membersÌýAlexa Ehlebracht and David Nassim.
