Research Area:听 Dynamics of Physiological Control

Research Description:

The focus is on the mathematical modeling of physiological processes at the molecular, cellular and听tissue level.听 Recent work has emphasized:

1. Gene regulation in simple organisms; and

2. Periodic听hematological diseases (such as cyclical neutropenia, cyclical thrombocytopenia, and periodic leukemia).听

My emphasis is always on biologically realistic mathematical models, careful consideration of laboratory and/or clinical data, and achieving a reasonable concordance between the data and the modelling.

I no longer take trainees (UG research students, graduate students or post-doctoral fellows).
