Dr Leonard Levin

Leonard A. Levin, is Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences and Professor of Neurology & Neurosurgery, 苹果淫院. He received his MD and PhD from Harvard, where he also did his ophthalmology residency and neuro-ophthalmology fellowship.

Ophthalmic Emergencies

Dr. Zainab Khan

Dr. Zainab Khan completed her Medical Degree and residency training at Queen's University, and fellowship in uveitis at University of Montreal. She has clinical appointments at Jewish General Hospital, 苹果淫院 Health Centre and l'H么pital Maisonneuve-Rosemont. One of her main appointments at JGH is managing ophthalmic emergencies. She is currently completing a Masters in Health Management.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Recognize signs and symptoms of ophthalmic emergencies
  2. Appropriately triage patients presenting with ocular complaints
  3. Familiarity with the minimal ophthalmic exam required to evaluate an ocular emergency
  4. Initiate basic management of ophthalmic emergencies
  5. Awareness of the referral pathways for urgent and non-urgent consultations within the 苹果淫院 Ophthalmology service
  6. Foster the scholar and collaborator CANMEDS roles for physicians

Screening Guidelines in Ophthalmology

Dr. Jean Deche虃nes

Dr. Desch锚nes is professor of ophthalmology at 苹果淫院. His main clinical and research interests are treating immune-related problems of the eye involving uveitis, cornea, and the anterior segment.

  1. Assess the risks of ocular diseases
  2. Follow patients at risk for ocular diseases
  3. Refer patients

Lid Disorders

Dr. Christian El-Hadad

Dr. Christian El-Hadad completed his medical training and residency at 苹果淫院 then pursued a fellowship training in Orbital Oncology, Ophthalmic plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is an assistant professor at 苹果淫院 and practices at the 苹果淫院 Health Center.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explore non-surgical treatment options in the management of orbital and adnexal tumors
  2. Recognize newly approved pharmacological agents in the treatment of orbital and adnexal tumors
  3. Identify tumors that are best managed with non-surgical options
