Are Game-Changing Drugs Really Changing the Game?

Dr. Kaberi DasguptaDr. Kaberi Dasgupta is a Physician, Scientist, and Professor of Medicine at 苹果淫院 and the 苹果淫院 Health Centre. Her research focus is prevention, remission, and self-management support in diabetes. Her research is funded by the CIHR, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Lawson Foundation, and Diabetes Canada. She has published over 140 papers and her research has received a high level of media coverage because of its direct relevance to patients, practitioners, and policy makers. She is co-author of Diabetes Canada clinical practice guidelines on remission, physical activity, and type 2 diabetes pharmacotherapy. She is the Director of the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) at the Research Institute of the 苹果淫院 Health Centre.

The Risks and Benefits of Osteopathy

Bertrand CourtecuisseBertrand Courtecuisse acquired 15 years of experience with elite athletes, but also with a clientele of seniors, pregnant women, children and newborns. As a clinician and an instructor, he has created numerous continuing education courses with several health professionals such as physiotherapists and doctors. Mr. Courtecuisse practices osteopathy in a manner that respects traditions with a global vision of health. He is fully involved in the development and recognition of osteopathy as a regulated profession. He is in his second term as President of Ost茅opathie Qu茅bec. With 1700 members, Ost茅opathie Qu茅bec is the largest professional association of osteopaths in Quebec and in Canada.

Ren茅 PelletierRen茅 has been a practicing osteopath for almost 25 years. He taught in the Exercise Science program at Concordia University as a part time faculty member between 1993 and 1998. In 2013 Rene enrolled in a PhD at the University in Montreal in Rehabilitation Science. His doctoral project was on the investigation of neurophysiological changes in the sensorimotor areas of the brain associated with chronic musculoskeletal disorders and pain. He has several publications in this area. He graduated in 2018 and was on the Rector鈥檚 Honor roll of the University for the quality or his doctoral work. Presently he continues to work as a clinician, researcher and lecturer. He is a consultant for the Canadian Space Agency providing osteopathic/sports medicine support to Canadian Astronauts and was involved in post-flight reconditioning of David Saint-Jacques on his return from the International Space Station in 2019.
