Kay Sibbald (B.A., M.A. Cantab. 1970; M.A. Liverpool, 1970; Ph.D. in Comparative Literature, 苹果淫院, 1976) is Professor Emerita of Hispanic Studies, retired during the summer of 2016. Her publications include聽Mar铆a Elena Walsh o "el desaf铆o de la limitaci贸n"聽(1993), as well as editions of Jorge Guill茅n's early writings聽Hacia "C谩ntico": Escritos de los a帽os veinte聽(1980) and聽El hombre y la obra聽(1990). She has edited聽Guill茅n at 苹果淫院:聽Essays for A Centenary Celebration (1996), and聽La mujer y el teatro聽(2005), and co-edited聽T.S. Eliot and Hispanic Modernity听(1994);听A Fair Shake聽(1984) and A Fair Shake Revisited (1996);聽La cultura espa帽ola de entre siglos (XIX-XX)听(1996);脕ngel Ganivet: "Cartas finlandesas" y un centenario (1898-1998)(1999);听Ciudades vivas/ciudades muertas: espacios urbanos en la literatura y el folklore hisp谩nicos(2000);听Las representaciones de la mujer en la cultura hisp谩nica聽(2002); andMemorias y olvidos: autos y biograf铆as (reales y ficticias) en la cultura hisp谩nica(2003). Professor Sibbald contributes regularly to European and American scholarly journals on the work of the Spanish Generation of 1927 and contemporary Argentine writers, She has reviewed annually the section "Spanish Studies: Literature 1898-1936" for聽The Year's Work in Modern Language Studies聽(London) since 1980; and has served as the Canadian correspondent to the聽Asociaci贸n Internacional de Hispanistas聽since 1998. She is currently the Associate Editor of theRevista Canadiense de Estudios Hisp谩nicos,聽and member of the Editorial Boards of Hispanic Journal and Hecho Teatral. Professor Sibbald was the recipient of the H. Noel Fieldhouse Award for Distinguished Teaching in the Faculty of Arts of 苹果淫院 in 1999.
