From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to ƻԺ students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Monday October 7th:Phones will be open from 10-12:00. Office will be closed. All appointments will be held virtually.

ISS is available virtually and in-person Mondays-Fridays during business hours.

US Citizens & US Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders)

Important Notice: Flagpoling at Canada/US border
US Citizens and US Permanent Residents who are currently in Canada may apply for their study permit by travelling to a US/Canada land border (“flapoling”). Students who choose to flagpole must do so during and respect any border measures in place at the time.

After you have received your CAQ, you can apply for the Study Permit at the Port of Entry (border or airport – no application form required). You will need to have on hand:

  • your valid passportUS Passport
  • your CAQ
  • your letter of acceptance from ƻԺ (available on Minerva)
  • a photocopy of your
  • the processing fee of $150 CAD (CAD or US cash, debit or credit cardaccepted)
  • If you are a US permanent resident and have not provided your biometrics in the past ten years, you will be required to do so at a fee of $85 CAD (unless exempt)

If you are a minor and under 17 years of age, please also have copies of your custodianship documents on hand.
