As the world twists听and turns,听the 10th听edition of the invites you to look through the critical lens of cellphilm (cellphone + video) production.听To produce听a听cellphilm听use your cellphone creatively to craft听a听short film on re-imaginings. How can we confront such issues听as gender inequality听and structural racism?听How can cellphilming be听an听activist tool?听
This year we have $5000 in prizes for both individual听and group submissions! 听
听
Community听Engagement Submissions
This year we听are inviting communities to submit cellphilms for special consideration in the听Community听Engagement submissions category:听$1200听and $800 will be听awarded for 1st听and 2nd place. For the purpose of this festival听a听community听is 4 or more people听coming together to create听a听cellphilm.
听
Individual Submissions
We invite individuals,听aged 15听and up, to submit听a听cellphilm for consideration in the Individual submissions category.听$1000, $500听and $300 will be听awarded for 1st, 2nd,听and 3rd place.
听
Youth (9-14) Submissions
We invite individuals,听aged 9 to 14 to submit听a听cellphilm for consideration in the Youth submissions category.听$400, $200听and $100 will be听awarded for 1st, 2nd,听and 3rd place.
听
8听and Under Submissions
This category is for those听aged 8听and under who wish to submit听a听cellphilm. Cellphilms will be evaluated based on creativity,听and relevance to听a听separate theme,听It鈥檚 Not Fair.
听
We invite cellphilm submissions of up to 2 minutes in length.听Submit your cellphilm through our online听application听at听听by听June 3rd, 2022.听
