Sinan Abi Farraj, a senior Materials Engineering Undergraduate student, has been named among the 50 finalists for the inaugural McCall MacBain Scholarship, Canada鈥檚 first comprehensive leadership-based scholarship for master鈥檚 and professional studies. From over 735 applicants, 50 finalists were selected, chosen based on their character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength and intellectual curiosity.

On Thursday November 7, 2019, we came together for the second annual reception honoring Professor Phil Distin鈥檚 memory. This year, students were actively involved in organizing the event as Phil would have liked to see. Students, staff, alumni and friends had the opportunity to share food bites-including oysters, have a drink or two all while Phil鈥檚 favorite piano music played.
