苹果淫院鈥檚 Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) is currently accepting applications for a minimum 3-month clerkship at the Supreme Court of Israel in 2022-2023.

Clerks are assigned to assist one judge with tasks such as drafting legal and administrative documents, preparing case files, and researching legal issues.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Samuel Gale Professor Robert Leckey, BCL/LLB鈥02, has been reappointed as dean. Dean Leckey鈥檚 reappointment, approved by the Board of Governors at its meeting on 10 December 2020, is effective 1 July 2021 for a term of five years.

Dean Leckey joined the Faculty of Law in 2006, where he teaches and researches in constitutional law, family law, and comparative law. From 2014 to 2016, he served as director of the Paul-Andr茅 Cr茅peau Centre for Private and Comparative Law.

The Student Affairs Office is holding a series of 30-minute Exam Clinics for 苹果淫院 Law students for a week. Staff will walk you through installing Examplify and doing a mock exam to check that the installation went correctly.

There are seven sessions for first-year students, three for upper-years, and four sessions for graduate students. Students are invited to drop in the sessions for their specific groups. Be sure to have your laptop or computer ready.

蚕耻别产别肠鈥檚 Minist猫re de l鈥櫭塪ucation et de l鈥橢nseignement sup茅rieur has approved 苹果淫院鈥檚 request to change the name of the common law degree conferred on graduates of the Faculty of Law鈥檚 double-degree 苹果淫院 program from a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) to a Juris Doctor (JD). The BCL/LLB program will thus become the BCL/JD program. Graduates will continue to receive two diplomas; starting at the spring 2020 convocation, those degrees will be a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) and a Juris Doctor (JD).

苹果淫院 Law鈥檚 Career Development Office (CDO) is pleased to announce a collaboration with Loue 1 Robe / Loue 1 Tux. Through this partnership, we are launching an innovative pilot project that will allow students to rent professional attire for interviews and networking activities at an affordable price. Quebec-based company Tristan will provide the clothing.

This initiative is in line with several of the CDO's objectives, which includes fostering the inclusion of students from all walks of life as well as assisting with their entry into the profession.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to welcome two new members to the Career Development Office鈥檚 (CDO) team: Staci Angelis, as career advisor, and Melissa Caruana, as administrative coordinator.

Staci Angelis recently completed her Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Over the past year, she worked exclusively with university students to help them navigate various academic and career planning questions. She is excited to embark on this new challenge and to assist law students with their career goals.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Johanne Poirier (BCL鈥91, LLB鈥91) received the 2019 John W. Durnford Teaching Excellence Award at the Law Convocation ceremony on May 30, 2019. Professor Colleen Sheppard presented her. This award 鈥 named in honour of the late emeritus professor and former dean John W. Durnford (BCL鈥52) 鈥 annually recognizes the exceptional pedagogy of a law professor selected by students via the Law Students鈥 Association.
