Following numerous meetings and consultations with experts in mental health, including Dr. Martin Drapeau, Associate Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, the Commissaire 脿 la sant茅 et au bien-锚tre du Qu茅bec released a report titled Verser, plus d'茅quit茅 et de R茅sultats en sant茅 mentale au Qu茅bec. In this report, the Commissaire recommends greater access to psychotherapy for those in need.

Dr. Jeffrey Derevensky, Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was invited to testify before the Senate of Canada regarding the Bill C-290, a legislation that would make it legal in Canada to bet on a single sports event, which is currently only legal for horse racing.
