From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to Æ»¹ûÒùÔº students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

What isÌýLearningBranch?

LearningBranch is a browser-basedÌýonline learning platform thatÌýwe mainly use for oral language tasks. The software is notÌýa language learning program for self-directed language learners; it is rather a complementary toolÌýfor language courses whereÌýinstructors canÌýbuild their exercises online and assign themÌýto students so they can practice a foreign or second language any time, anywhere.Ìý

How to use it?

It is aÌýplatform that you can start using easilyÌýonce you are registeredÌýon the platform.Ìý

Registration steps for students:Ìý

  1. Contact your instructor and request a "self-registration link" if you haven't already received it.
  2. The unique self-registration link will allow you to be registered to a course and create aÌýusername and password if you are a first time user. Remember to use your student email address (e.g., john.doe [at] mail.mcgill.ca)Ìýfor registration.
  3. If you already have a username and passwordÌýfrom a previous course, enter your existing credentials during registration (if you forgot or cannot retreive your password,Ìýcontact theÌýhaluk.tuncay [at] mcgill.ca (educational technology consultant).
