Build sustainability into your course

Thursday, August 8, 2024 09:30to12:00
McLennan Library Building Room Ms-74 (Ground floor), 3459 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C9, CA

Sustainability is described as having three pillars: environmental, social, and economic. Have you ever thought about bringing one of these facets of sustainability into your course—or examining their intersections—so that students develop a broader understanding of how your course content can promote sustainability-related skills, values, and actions? In this workshop, we will invite you to reflect on your course content through a sustainability lens, identify where teaching about sustainability might fit in, and draft learning outcomes to guide your teaching and students’ learning about sustainability. This workshop is open to instructors from all disciplines. Join us to get inspiration from others as well as feedback on your draft learning outcomes.

Note: This workshop is a collaboration among Æ»¹ûÒùԺ’s Sustainability Office, Teaching and Learning Services, and the Department of Integrated Studies in Education.
