Vue d'ensemble

脡tudes religieuses : Since the time of Buddha, poetry has been used by Buddhist to express devotion, to compose philosophical treatises, and to communicate insight into the experience of awakening. The seminar's content will vary, treating the history, poetics, esthetics, roles and genres of Buddhist poetry in India, Tibet, China and Japan.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2018-2019 academic year.

  • Prerequisite (s): RELG 252 or RELG 253 or RELG 344 or permission of the instructor

  • This course is expected to be offered every 3 years
