The Minor Concentration in Urdu Language provides students with comprehensive training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Urdu.

• ISLA 551D1 Introductory Urdu-Hindi (3 credits)

  Islamic Studies : Introduction to Urdu-Hindi language including pronunciation and reading and writing of either Urdu or Hindi script, speaking and comprehension of basic sentences, commands, statements in the present tense.

  Islamic Studies : Assuming a knowledge of basic grammar and vocabulary, this course continues with the study of more complex grammatical structures. Reading and composition exercises in Urdu script are designed to give intermediate competency in the language.
