Claude Crépeau awarded 2023 Edsger W. Dijkstra Prize

, Professor in the School of Computer Science at ƻԺ, has been named a co-recipient of the 2023 Edsger W. Dijkstra Prize in Distributed Computing. This award recognizes papers in the area of distributed computing that have made a significant and lasting impact in the field.

the 1988 paper by Crépeau, David Chaum, and Ivan Damgård, was one of three publications that received this year’s prize for “introducing information-theoretic secure multiparty computations and showing how to achieve maximal resilience to malicious adversaries while providing unconditional security.”
