Register now for the 苹果淫院 Symposium on 鈥淟essons Learned from the COVID-19 Pandemic: Impacts, Consequences, Learnings and Looking Forward,鈥� taking place virtually on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Symposium is part of the 2021 Royal Society of Canada (RSC) Celebration of Excellence and Engagement in partnership with 苹果淫院.

The COVID-19 pandemic inspired unprecedented engagement and collaboration from the scientific, medical, and public health communities within Canada and around the world. The many successes have included the development of vaccines and new therapies, vividly illustrating the power of science and the value of discovery research.

While many questions have been answered through this mobilization, new and urgent lines of inquiry are emerging, such as the degree and duration of protection after vaccination in the face of new virus mutation, grave challenges to public health policies and systems, and scientific preparedness for the next public health emergency.

Speakers will address and reflect on the biological, medical, and other knowledge that has been obtained through the unprecedented response from the scientific community to COVID-19 as well as the lessons for future science policy and additional issues.
