Partnership Meeting - Dr. Laurie Gottlieb's Partnership Grant

Last month, ISoN hosted the bi-annual partnership meeting for Laurie Gottlieb's Partnership Grant "Transforming Nurses' Work Environments Through a Strengths-Based Leadership and Management Training Program."

The team includes eight partnered institutions, ten co-applicants, eight collaborators, and hired consultants from a range of disciplines including nursing, management, oral history, media, and gender studies. Over a day and a half at ISoN, the research team reviewed the key elements that they have expended their energies on during the partnership's first year and set goals for the years ahead. Specifically, they will continue to finalize the training program鈥檚 learning objectives and content in preparation for its roll-out at the five clinical partner sites. They are also preparing to send a documentary filmmaking team into St. Mary's Hospital of CIUSSS West Island and SickKids Hospital in Toronto to embed themselves in the real work environments of nurse managers and leaders. The data collected during these shoots will be crafted into audio-visual teaching materials to promote reflection, discussion, and story-sharing in the training program. Stay tuned for more updates on the Partnership Grant鈥檚 activities!
