Tracking microbial life across the planet, researchers from ƻԺ show that biodiversity does in fact foster further diversity in microbiomes that are initially less diverse. However, diversity rates plateau with increased competition for survival and space in more diverse microbiomes.
Tue, 02 Feb 2021 15:09:56 +0000 shirley.cardenas@mcgill.ca 256584 at /newsroom New partnership to unravel genetic sequence of SARS-CoV-2 virus in Quebec /newsroom/channels/news/new-partnership-unravel-genetic-sequence-sars-cov-2-virus-quebec-321890
The Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ) and the ƻԺ Genome Centre today announced they will partner to sequence the viral genomes of Quebec patients with COVID-19 disease. The collaboration, termed “Coronavirus Sequencing in Quebec,” (CoVSeQ) is led by Profs Sandrine Moreira, Hugues Charest and Michel Roger at the Laboratoire de santé publique du Québec (LSPQ) of the INSPQ. The viral samples are taken from a Quebec viral biobank, termed the CoVBanQ, which is hosted in LSPQ.
Tue, 28 Apr 2020 13:53:45 +0000 laurie.devine@mcgill.ca 209574 at /newsroom
