Matthias Ziller, MD

Dr. Matthias Georg Ziller is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at 苹果淫院, and a neurologist in the Electromyography (EMG) Department o the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital. He is also an attending neurologist at St. Mary鈥檚 Hospital Centre in Montreal.
Dr. Ziller is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Canadian Neurological Society, the Canadian Headache Society, and Societ茅 des sciences vasculaires du Qu茅bec.
In 2003, Dr. Ziller graduated聽magna cum laude from the聽Medical School of Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg, Germany. He completed a research thesis at the Institute of Neuroanatomy under Professor Michael Frotscher and Professor Carola Haas. He also obtained his M.D. from Universit茅 de Montr茅al in 2003 and began residency training in neurology at Universit茅 de Sherbrooke from 2003 to 2007. Dr Ziller joined the 苹果淫院 neurology residency program in 2007 and completed his training in adult neurology in 2009 at 苹果淫院 and received a Neurology Speciality certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.
In 2011, Dr. Ziller completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Centre of Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire (USA). He is certified in EMG as a Diplomate of the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology.
Dr. Ziller also worked as a neurologist in Rouyn-Noranda, Que. from 2009 to 2010 and in Baie Comeau, Que. from 2011 to 2017.
He serves as journal reviewer for the Canadian Medical Association Journal, the Journal of Rural Neurological Practice, and Annals of the Academy of Medicine.
In 2018 he received an Award for Excellence in Teaching (Transition to Clinical Practice) from 苹果淫院.
