Physiological states and BOLD fMRI dynamics
Speaker:ÌýCatie Chang, PhD
Assistant Professor
Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science
Vanderbilt University
Bio:ÌýCatie Chang received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, in the Radiological Sciences Lab. She was then a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Intramural Research Program of the National Institutes of Health. In 2018, she joined Vanderbilt University as an Assistant Professor. Her lab seeks to advance understanding of human brain function by developing techniques for analyzing and interpreting neuroimaging data.
Talk Abstract:ÌýfMRI signals contain rich dynamics and provide a valuable window into brain functional organization. Yet, much is unknown about the underpinnings of ongoing fMRI signal fluctuations and their large-scale correlation patterns. In this talk, I will discuss studies that combine multi-modal imaging and computational techniques to investigate physiological states linked with fMRI signal dynamics.
