Abstract:听This talk will focus on the key roles of ion channels in regulating neurotransmitter release at developmental central synapses and provide new mechanistic perspectives on how to target presynaptic channels to rescue neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders.

Lu-Yang Wang is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards including elected fellowship to Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Outstanding Reviewer-The Journal of Neuroscience for which and many other journals he currently serves as an Associate Editor. He also served on SFN Public Education and Communication Committee, SFN Program Committee and also as Treasurer and Board of Directors for Canadian Association of Neuroscience (CAN).
