Announcement: Passing of Luba Genush Gloor (1924-2021)

It is with sadness that we let The Neuro community know that Luba Genush Gloor passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021. Luba was the wife of former Neuro faculty member, physician, scientist and historian Peter Gloor (1923-2003) and mother-in-law to Eric Shoubridge.

Luba Genush Gloor was an acclaimed artist, who created a splendid mural for the Penfield Pavilion in 1983,ÌýThe World of Neurology, in which she depicted the human form in all of its vulnerability yet in harmony with twentieth century technology. The mural was unveiled on January 26, 1983 at a symposium in celebration of Wilder Penfield’s birthday. It currently hangs in the Webster Pavilion, on the wall as you come down the stairs into the Jeanne Timmins Foyer.*
