From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 苹果淫院 students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Student Brent Proseus finalist in Ellsworth Smith Solo Competition

Brent Proseus,听a second year trumpet Performance Major in the class of Richard Stoelzel听has been chosen one of six students to compete this week in the prestigious Ellsworth Smith Solo competition. The competition will be 听. 听Brent Proseus is also a听2016 International Solo Competition winner and a winner of the听苹果淫院 Concerto Competition,听

The 2016 Ellsworth Smith International Trumpet Solo Competition takes place from August 21-September 2, 2016.听听Six听outstanding trumpet players听compete for a $10,000 first prize. This prestigious competition is sponsored by the International Trumpet Guild and The Columbus Foundation. Attend if you can or view the live stream.听Performance rounds begin Thursday morning, September 1 at The University of Alabama School of Music.听All performances are free and open to the public, and will also be livestreamed.
