Donny Kennedy wins Principal鈥檚 Prize for Excellence in Teaching: Course Lecturer聽
During the Fall 2021 Convocation ceremonies, exceptional educators at 苹果淫院 are awarded the Principal鈥檚 Prize for Excellence in Teaching.聽The award recognizes the commitment of outstanding teachers who create the renowned academic experience聽苹果淫院 provides to students year after year. Donny Kennedy, a dedicated educator in the Schulich Jazz Area, takes home the Principal鈥檚 Prize in the Course Lecturer category.
Donny, a saxophonist, has been the coordinator for jazz combos聽since his debut聽teaching聽at聽the聽Schulich聽School of Music聽22 years ago.聽He organizes 20-25 ensembles a year as well as teaching Jazz Arranging聽and Jazz Saxophone.聽He is聽beloved to聽students聽for his leadership, experience and position as a motivated role model聽and mentor. Also a recipient of the 2020-2021 Teaching Award in the part-time category, Donny is known for his聽organic approach聽in helping students聽comprehend difficult concepts as well as聽sharing his聽love and聽passion for music to all.聽聽Congratulations on this latest recognition for your continued commitment to music education, Donny!聽
