Listening to One Another to Grow StrongÌý(LTOA) family program is a community-driven, culturally adapted, wellness promotion program for Indigenous youth and their families. LTOA is not a mental health treatment program or a response to crisis situationÌý-Ìýinstead, it focuses on promoting wellbeing in order to help youth, families, and communities to become stronger and healthier. The goal of each session is designed to contribute to the overall objective of positive mental health. In developing a local version of the program, activities can be adapted to fit each community'sÌýcultural and local context, while keeping the objectives of each session in mind.Ìý

The fourteen sessions of the family program are as follows:

1 to 5

MODULE 1: Elders and Ancestors' Teachings

Session 1

Topic: Traditional Teachings and Values

Session Overview:

- Introduce the program

- WelcomeÌýparticipants, and encourage participants to interact

- Discuss traditional teachings and values with the families
