Supporting healthy grieving through the pandemic

Dawn Cruchet BN, MEd,聽Grief Educator and Counsellor

A brief portrait of our presenter:

Dawn has a BN from the University of New Brunswick and a Master's degree in Education from 苹果淫院. She taught nursing at John Abbott College, developed and taught 鈥淒emystifying Death and Dying鈥 at 苹果淫院 for 20 years, co-developed and taught the Certificate in Palliative Care at John Abbott College., and co-founded The Grief Center. She wore many hats in grief when working for over 25 years in the Montreal area - facilitating Bereavement Support Groups, organizing the Good Grief Workshop for Children and Teens, working with families in private practice, providing support and education for airlines, school boards, aboriginal communities, funeral service organizations, emergency services and other not-for-profit sector agencies.

Since retiring to the beautiful Madawaska Valley in rural Ontario, Dawn continues to volunteer her services in program development for the Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care program where she has helped develop the Training Program for Volunteers, Bereavement Support Program, Compassionate Teen Program and Death Cafe.

Dawn has always believed that she has had the privilege of working with 鈥渢he experts鈥 - grieving children, adults and families - and, being an educator at heart, she loves to share what she has learned. She also has begun work on a Bucket List project - writing a book on grief.
