From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 苹果淫院 students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Cestari obtained his PhD from the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), where he worked on the mechanisms of complement evasion by Trypanosoma cruzi. In 2010, he joined Dr. Ken Stuart鈥檚 laboratory at the Center for Infectious Disease Research (CIDR; Seattle, USA) as a postdoctoral scientist, where he discovered a role for phosphatidylinositol molecules in the regulation of antigenic variation in Trypanosoma brucei. He is currently a staff scientist studying antigenic variation and life stage development in trypanosomes.
