The 苹果淫院 Law Journal () welcomes Professor Mathieu Devinat for its Annual Francophone Conference. His talk is titled "L鈥櫭﹙olution en trois temps de l鈥檕uvrage, Interpr茅tation des lois."
A graduate of the Universit茅 de Montr茅al, Mathieu Devinat is a Professor of Law at Universit茅 de Sherbrooke and the Executive Director of the University of Sherbrooke Law Review. While he is most widely recognized within the academic and legal circles for his contributions in the fields of private law, comparative law, jurilinguistics and judicial methodology, Professor Devinat will discuss of his most recent field of research, statutory interpretation. Professor Devinat will discuss Pierre-Andr茅 C么t茅鈥檚 Interpr茅tation des lois, and its previous editions, in order to highlight the evolution of the relationship between the author and judges and their discourses on statutory interpretation throughout the years.
