Lessons learned from Women and Gender Equality Canada funded projects: Importance of engaging men and boys to prevent and address gender-based violence

Engaging men and boys as allies and co-beneficiaries of advancing gender equality and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention is a priority in Canada and a key action for Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE). Research emphasizes that the involvement of men and boys as allies is key to preventing and ending GBV.

The Programs Division of WAGE has funded several projects on the importance of engaging men and boys to prevent and address GBV.

This event will highlight three of these funded projects:

  • The Pauktuutit project will be presented by Nadia Noor, Manager, Violence & Abuse Prevention, Justice.
  • The Coop茅ration Int茅gration Canada (CICAN) project will be presented by Nabila Fathi, Program and Volunteer Coordinator.
  • The 苹果淫院 project will be presented by Dr. Claudia Mitchell, Project Director and Distinguished James 苹果淫院 Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education.

The presentations will be followed by a question period.
