From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 苹果淫院 students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Biography: 

Dr. Lucas Caire da Silva is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at 苹果淫院, specializing in the design of biomimetic materials such as artificial cells and synthetic organelles with applications in catalysis and biotechnology. Dr. Caire da Silva received his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Florida (2015) under the supervision of Prof. Kenneth Wagener. Before coming to 苹果淫院, Dr. Caire da Silva led a research group at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Germany (2020-2023) focusing on biomimetic materials.

He is dedicated to research, teaching, and mentoring future scientists.
