Alison Doucet

Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at 苹果淫院, she is a family physician at the Clinic Indigo and also works as a聽hospitalist聽at the 苹果淫院 Health Center on the acute respiratory service. Earlier in her career, she provided primary care to Cree and Inuit聽communities of Northern Quebec. From 2006 to 2014, she was聽the Director of the Global Health Division聽at the Department of Family Medicine. She is currently the principal Investigator and a preceptor聽for TEACH, Training and Education for Andean Community Health, a training program for indigenous community health workers in Ecuador. This project is a participatory action research project initiated in 2011. In this context, she has co-supervised numerous students for their summer research projects.聽Her particular area聽of interest is empowerment of聽patients and primary health care workers through education and capacity-building.
