Thursday, November 28, 2024 14:00to16:00

Are you interested in creating a learning environment that is welcoming and inclusive of 2SLGBTQIA+ people but you're not sure exactly how to do this? This interactive workshop provides an introduction to gender diversity and inclusive language.

By attending this workshop, instructors will be able to:

  • Explore key concepts related to gender and sexual orientation
  • Recognize stereotypes and systemic barriers faced by 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in the learning environment
  • Integrate inclusive language into everyday interactions with students and colleagues
  • Develop and deploy strategies for creating a more welcoming and inclusive classroom for 2SLGBTQIA+ students

Note that an Outlook invitation and Zoom link will be sent to participants in advance of the workshop.
