From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to 苹果淫院 students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Biography: 

Dr. Robert Gagnon completed his medical聽degree and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Universit茅 de Montr茅al, then continued postgraduate training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Western Ontario.聽 He then聽joined the聽faculty at the University of Western Ontario, where he聽became a professor聽in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology,聽Physiology and Pharmacology, and聽Pediatrics.聽 In 2008 he聽was recruited to 苹果淫院's聽Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to direct the divisions of聽Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) at聽the 苹果淫院 Health Center.

As an active member of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada, Dr Gagnon is involved in the Diagnostic Imaging committee and the MFM committee; he has also been involved in the formulation of several SOGC clinical guidelines and the organization of several SOGC annual meetings.He has聽over 100 publications, including several book chapters and review articles all related to diagnostic indicators of fetal health, fetal behavior, fetal growth and development, fetal cardiovascular physiology and placental function. He has given over 200 scientific and invited presentations in his area of expertise.

A true advocate of MFM, he lead the transformation of the MFM specialty from a status of Royal College accredited without certification to a Specialty accredited with examination,聽with recognition as a full specialty. Dr Gagnon was granted the聽Founder, (MFM)聽designation by the Royal College in March 2011.
