From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to Æ»¹ûÒùÔº students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

· hearing and balance disorders, including noise-induced hearing loss

· sudden sensorineural hearing loss, otosclerosis/stapedectomy, middle ear mechanics

· ototoxicity, hearing loss secondary to meningitis

· hearing preservation in acoustic neuroma surgery, vestibular rehabilitation, and facial nerve disorders.

Biography: 

Dr. Rappaport has received research funding from the American Hearing Research Foundation, the Deafness Research Foundation, and the National Institute for Hearing Research. He is currently a collaborating member of the Æ»¹ûÒùÔº Auditory Sciences Laboratory. He has been a Silver Ambassador for The Ride to Conquer Cancer (benefiting the Jewish General Hospital).

Dr. Rappaport lectures regularly to medical students, residents and physicians. He is a Course Co-organizer for the "Ethics / Communication Skills" Otolaryngology OSCE, which uses Standardized Patients at the Æ»¹ûÒùÔº Simulation Center. He is Co-Director of the Æ»¹ûÒùÔº Update in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery course, held annually in Mont-Tremblant, QC.
