Whether it is on wind turbines, electric towers, drones, or airplane wings, dealing with ice buildup typically depends on techniques that are time consuming, costly and/or use a lot of energy, along with various chemicals. But, by looking to nature, Æ»¹ûÒùÔº researchers believe that they have found a promising new way of dealing with the problem.
Fri, 28 Oct 2022 17:41:53 +0000 Katherine Gombay 8847 at /engineering Department of Chemical Engineering researchers honoured by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec /engineering/article/news/department-chemical-engineering-researchers-honoured-ordre-des-ingenieurs-du-quebec
Nathalie Tufenkji and Mathieu Lapointe, both researchers at the Department of Chemical Engineering, were among 13 people honoured by the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) during a gala on May 20.

Tufenkji won the Honoris Genius award in the Research or Teaching category, while Lapointe won the Honoris Genius award in the Relève (35 years or younger) category.
Mon, 20 Jun 2022 14:23:55 +0000 Æ»¹ûÒùÔº Reporter Staff 8791 at /engineering
