Æ»¹ûÒùÔº24 builds momentum!

Last year, in a single day, the University raised almost $4million during Æ»¹ûÒùÔº 24. That’s an amazing number that reflects the exceptional commitment of our alumni, friends and colleagues in creating transformative opportunities for our students and professors. Æ»¹ûÒùÔº 24 takes place on Wednesday, March 15 this year.

This is the day that your gift is amplified by matching programs from several sources.

As a Faculty, our goal is to offer students, who want to make a difference through their hard work and creativity, the chance to develop their skills by coming to Æ»¹ûÒùÔº – not only to pursue their studies, but also to delve into their ideas, and to explore new problems, opportunities and experiences that spark their interest. Gifts from you, the members of our global community, can bring ideas and educational experiences to life. Æ»¹ûÒùÔº relies on annual donations from people like you to increase the opportunities and scholarships that we offer to students.

One example is Empower, our experiential learning program, which offers internships, overseas summer projects and funding for student initiatives, student-run groups, and design teams, all of which provide educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom. (See the article about the Æ»¹ûÒùÔº Engineering Student Centre or MESC, in this issue.)

As we’ve all learned, there is nothing like real-world experience to teach us how to apply what we’ve learned, or to factor in the social context of a project’s community alongside an engineering or design problem.

Stay tuned – as a valued member of our community, you’ll see and hear lots of fun stuff as students get involved with crowdfunding initiatives. Visit Æ»¹ûÒùÔº24 2023 for more info.

On behalf of every student in our Faculty and at Æ»¹ûÒùÔº, thanks so much for your ongoing support.
