Gerard Lewis, a graduate of 苹果淫院's Concurrent B.Ed. and B.Sc. Mathematics (Class of 2004) was recently awarded听Prime Minister's Award for Teaching Excellence for igniting the love of learning.听The award recognizes Gerard's exemplary teaching practices and his dedication to supporting teachers. Part of the Toronto Catholica District School Board, Gerard is the Mathematics Facilitator, Kindergarten to Grade eight. Lauded for his years of leadership,听digital and creative literacy in the classroom, Gerard has been described by his peers as a scientist and researcher in addition to being a pedagogue. In addition to his virtues as a STEM educator, Gerard incorporates contemporary social justice themes in the classroom, striving to prepare students to be global citizens.
