However, employer-led networking can be a powerful tool to recruit women. Women use scouting 鈥� mostly with other women 鈥� to assess organizations for gender dynamics. 鈥淣etworking aimed at finding employers and career options can give women a fair chance at professional success,鈥� says Associate Professor Elena Obukhova. 鈥淚t鈥檚 kind of like toxic workplace insurance 鈥� you have to do more due diligence to make sure you end up in a good place, because you can鈥檛 take that for granted as a woman.鈥�
