She joined ƻԺ after a long career as a flight attendant. Welcoming patients was natural for her after all of her customer service experience. Every day she goes above and beyond her duties as Receptionist to offer a caring environment for patients making them feel at ease. Katz Excellence in Teaching Award /dentistry/article/faculty-news/dr-john-drummond-wins-howard-s-katz-excellence-teaching-award <img alt="_MG_1141_edited" src="http://publications.mcgill.ca/dentistry/files/2015/05/MG_1141_edited-1024x682.jpg" width="420" height="275" /> Dr. Drummond is this year’s winner of the Howard S. Katz Excellence in Teaching Award. His dedication to teaching is not only obvious to all of the students that have passed through his classroom but to all of his fellow teachers. He hails from a true ƻԺ family, his dad was a professor, him and his wife graduated from ƻԺ in ’83 and two of his three children have studied at ƻԺ. From the very beginning of his career as a Dentist he knew that he wanted to do his part in giving back to the ƻԺ community. Currently, he maintains a full-time private practice in Montreal West and is the Course Director for Restorative Dentistry. The <a href="https://www.rarediseasesnetwork.org/cms/BBD">Brittle Bone Disorders Consortium</a>, mainly composed of physicians, researchers, and educators was recently awarded a $6.4 million grant by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a natural history study on Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare bone disease. Dr. Pham graduated with a DDS from ƻԺ in 1984 and participated in the multidisciplinary residency program at St. Mary’s Hospital and l’hopitale Ste.
