Dr. Feine selected as inaugural Editor for JDR Clinical & Translational Research

Dr. Jocelyne Feine was recently selected as the inaugural Editor of the IADR/AADR JDR Clinical & Translational Research. Dr. Feine is a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at 苹果淫院 in the Division of Oral Health and Society. Dr. Feine was selected for the unique vision that she will bring to the new journal. The journal will focus on topics of applied research that are relevant and applicable to the whole oral health community (researchers, clinician scientists, educators, patients, public health and policy makers, etc.). 鈥淲hat we do is worth little unless it leads to improvements in practice and provision to the public. As scientists, we are responsible for doing as much as we can to translate our results to those who will use the information to improve health,鈥 says Feine. Dr. Feine is a recognized world leader in the assessment of therapies for chronic orofacial conditions, particularly pain and tooth loss. Her national and international studies emphasize the quality of life and patient-based outcomes most relevant for palliative therapeutic goals. From randomized clinical trials to technology assessment, knowledge transfer and health care management, Feine鈥檚 work covers the continuum of discovery to action. Prior to being selected as Editor for this new publication, Feine served on the Journal of Dental Research Editorial Board and has been the Associate Editor for the JDR. The International Association for Dental Research and the American Association for Dental research will launch JDR Clinical & Transitional Research, a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing original dental, oral and craniofacial research in early 2016. The journal will focus on the interface between discovery science and clinical application with the translation of research into healthcare delivery systems at the individual patient, clinical practice, and community levels. for the press release.
