Nicolette has more than 17 years鈥� experience teaching and researching public relations and communication, first at the Tshwane University of Technology in South Africa and now at 苹果淫院 in Montreal. Her teaching experience spans first-year to PhD level, while her research has been published and presented at several international conferences, during which 聽she was awarded two best paper awards. Her key areas of research focus are virtual organisations, systems-based theories, public relations strategy and communication. During her time at the Tshwane University of Technology, Nicolette acted as Head of Department for the Department of Public Relations and Business Communication in 2009 and was named the 鈥淛unior Researcher of the Year: Faculty of Humanities鈥� in 2011. In 2007, she was nominated as one of CEO Magazine鈥檚 Most Influential Woman in Business (in the category Government and Education [South Africa]). She obtained a PhD in public relations/strategic communication in 2008 at the Tshwane University of Technology.
