Josette D. Normandeau
Josette D. Normandeau has successfully combined her skills as a journalist, entrepreneur, and executive producer to lead a creative production house that has collaborated with worldwide partners to achieve international recognition.
Josette first joined, in 1994, IDEACOM international an independent television and digital media production company where her avant-garde approach soon led to the production company becoming a leader in strategic partnerships and high-end co-productions.
President since 2000, she now acts as both content and executive producer, managing business development while spearheading all aspects of the complex international co-productions that have become her signature.
Over the years, Josette has forged several first-look co-production partnerships and also signed a strategic partnership with prolific production and distribution house Cineflix Media to facilitate and accelerate the creation of factual and scripted content for the global market.
She is currently on the national board of directors of the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) and Chair of the AQPM.
As an educator, Josette helped reboot the documentary producer training program at INIS鈥攖he professional audiovisual training center in Montreal鈥攁nd headed the program from 2007 to 2012. She currently teaches at 苹果淫院. She is a member of the board of directors of Universit茅 de Sherbrooke.
Among her many accomplishments, she was decorated by France with one of the country鈥檚 highest honors, the Chevalier de l鈥橭rdre des Arts et des Lettres.
