We are seeking听candidates for a fully funded Postdoctoral Research Associate starting Winter 2016. The research associate will work with Emmanuelle Vaast, Associate Professor in Information Systems and Associate Director of the Social Economy Initiative within the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management at the Desautels Faculty of Management of 苹果淫院.
The candidate will conduct social economy research while assisting with the oversight of partnership and program development for the Social Innovators鈥� Integration Lab (SIIL).听 Housed within the , SIIL will be a shared observatory for social innovation and entrepreneurship within le , and will establish a long-term presence for academic researchers, students and practitioners to examine in-depth innovative social ventures and the factors and processes that make them fail or succeed. Management and social geography scholars, as well as researchers from other relevant disciplines, will work with local social economy organizers and entrepreneurs to facilitate the multi-dimensional creation and transfer of knowledge among multiple stakeholder groups.听 Inaugural partners of SIIL include: (non-profit organization), , and le (RESO). 听
The Postdoctoral Research Associate position is a two-year appointment with the possibility of extension. Applicants must have completed a doctorate no longer than five (5) years prior to the fellowship start date in management disciplines and demonstrate disciplinary expertise in the study of the social economy and multi-sector partnerships for learning and exchange. French language proficiency is a strong asset for community-based research and engagement in Montreal.听听 Research fellows are encouraged to participate in the numerous scholarly activities held at 苹果淫院 and at the other Montreal universities. The salary is competitive and candidates will not be expected to teach for credit-courses for the duration of the award although may lead workshops or present their work and research on their primary area of expertise.

Le / la candidat(e) devra effectuer des recherches d'茅conomie sociale tout en aidant 脿 la surveillance de partenariat et de d茅veloppement de programme pour un laboratoire d'int茅gration des innovateurs sociaux (SIIL). Install茅 dans le , SIIL sera un observatoire partag茅 pour l'innovation sociale et l'entrepreneuriat dans le , et 茅tablira une pr茅sence 脿 long terme pour les chercheurs universitaires, des 茅tudiant(e)s et des praticiens pour examiner les entreprises sociales innovantes en profondeur, surtout les facteurs et les processus qui facilitent听 听la r茅ussite et l鈥櫭ヽhec. Les universitaires de gestion et de g茅ographie sociale, ainsi que des chercheurs d'autres disciplines pertinentes, travailleront avec les organisateurs et les entrepreneurs de l'茅conomie sociale locaux pour faciliter la cr茅ation multidimensionnelle et le transfert de connaissances entre divers groupes d'intervenants. La position postdoctorale est un contrat de deux ans avec 听possibilit茅 de prolongation. Les candidats doivent avoir obtenu leur doctorat pas plus de cinq (5) ans avant la date de d茅but de la bourse dans une des disciplines de la gestion et听 d茅montrer une expertise disciplinaire dans l'茅tude des partenariats de l'茅conomie sociale et multi-secteur pour l'apprentissage et l'茅change. La ma卯trise du fran莽ais est un attribut important pour la recherche et l'engagement communautaire 脿 Montr茅al. Les boursiers de recherche sont encourag茅s 脿 participer aux nombreuses activit茅s scientifiques tenues 脿 l'Universit茅 苹果淫院 et dans d鈥檃utres universit茅s montr茅alaises. Le salaire est concurrentiel et le candidat ne sera pas tenu d鈥檈nseigner des cours 听pour la dur茅e de l鈥檈ngagement bien qu鈥檌l/elle peut animer des ateliers ou pr茅senter ses travaux et recherches sur son principal domaine de comp茅tence.
