Leading with Impact: Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the EMBA 苹果淫院-HEC Montr茅al
On March 21st, the 苹果淫院 HEC Montreal EMBA program organised an event to celebrate its 5th anniversary. Participants from five alumni classes and the current class joined together for the first time as one group and discussed with an energy and openness you鈥檇 expect from people who have known each other for years.聽 The EMBA 苹果淫院-HEC Montr茅al was the common thread and common language which made that possible.聽 Fully 60% of the alumni took part in the day鈥檚 activities, confirming the strong link they feel to the program and the network it has created.
Every day of EMBA classes starts with an hour devoted to reflections, and so it was with the EMBA reunion as well. 100 senior managers reflected on 鈥�What does managing with impact mean for you?鈥� and 鈥淗ow do you manage with impact?鈥�聽 The diversity of the EMBA 苹果淫院-HEC alumni was reflected in the many lenses through which they considered 鈥淟eading with Impact.
This was an excellent start to a full day of learning that included:
- the launch of EMBA 苹果淫院-HEC alumni affinity groups
- a CEO Panel on 鈥淢aking the Tough Calls鈥� with Robert Card, CEO of SNC Lavalin and Michael Roach, CEO of CGI.
- a series of four learning sessions, on e-Leadership, Neuro-marketing, Conflict resolution, and Communicating for Impact
The day concluded with a keynote speech by Bernard Voyer, an accomplished explorer and mountaineer who has been to both the north and south poles and has scaled the highest mountain on each continent. He used his own experiences to illustrate how each of us could go 鈥淪tep by step, towards the summit鈥�.
It was a powerful day, where connections were renewed, and new connections were forged, between an impressive group of alumni, including more than 30 CEO and company presidents, leaders in non-profit organizations, businesses owners and senior executives.聽
The participants and alumni ended the event at the Omni Mont Royal Hotel with the program鈥檚 first 鈥淏lack tie鈥� Gala. Suzanne Fortier, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 苹果淫院, Michel Patry, Director of HEC Montreal and Peter Todd, Dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management of 苹果淫院 have all delivered a speech on their memories of the first five years of the 苹果淫院 HEC Montreal EMBA program.
