Bringing ‘integrated management’ to students across Æ»¹ûÒùÔº through new Integrated Management Essentials courses

In September 2015, MDIIM launched the first of two new courses for undergraduate non-management students:ÌýINTG 201 (Integrated Management Essentials 1) & INTG 202 (Integrated Management Essentials 2).ÌýThe coursesÌýpresent the essentials of management (accounting, finance, information systems, marketing, operations, organizational behaviour and strategy)Ìýusing an integrated approach, highlighting how organizations function as a whole and the importance of being able to work across functional and organizational boundaries.

The two new courses are already part of a new Minor in Agribusiness Entrepreneurship offered by the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in partnership with Desautels. In addition, MDIIM and Desautels are currently working in collaboration with six other Æ»¹ûÒùÔº partner faculties to develop additional Minors in Social/ Technological Entrepreneurship, some as soon as next academic year.
