From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to ƻԺ students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

The Herbert Jasper lecture will be delivered by Richard L. Huganir, Professor and Director, Department of Neuroscience, Director, Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute, Co-Director, Brain Science Institute, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA at 4 pm on April 18, 2017 in the Jeanne Timmins Amphitheatre of the Neuro. His talk is entitled “Regulation of Neurotransmitter Receptors and Synaptic Plasticity in Cognition and Cognitive Disorders”.

Dr. Jasper, who passed away in 1999, worked together with Wilder Penfield at the MNI during his early and very seminal years (1937-1964) and remained associated with the Institute for the remainder of his career and life in Montreal. This lectureship, which is focused like the work of Jasper upon Neurophysiology was instituted in his honor.
