From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to Æ»¹ûÒùÔº students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.


Du samedi 5 octobre au lundi 7 octobre, le campus du centre-ville et le campus Macdonald ne seront accessibles qu’aux étudiants et aux membres du personnel de l’Université Æ»¹ûÒùÔº, ainsi qu’aux visiteurs essentiels. Eve-Marie Quintin, neuropsychologist and music scientist from the Department of Educational & Counselling Psychology, appeared on CBC Radio's Ontario Today to discuss how we use music to cope.

Hearing just the first few bars of a song you loved as a teen can send you right back to a high school dance or a first date or even just your childhood bedroom, where you promised you were doing your homework when you were actually reading the liner notes of your favourite album. According to Eve-Marie on the subject, nostalgia has been big during the pandemic. And for good reason.
