What’s your story? Crafting interview content

The Desjardins Centre for Advanced Training presents "Career Matters with Niem Huynh, PhD (Personal and Professional Life Coach)"

Join us for this fun and interactive online workshop designed for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. This is part 2 of 2 workshops designed to help trainees with the job interview.

What’s your story? Crafting interview content

Thursday, May 28| 7 - 9 pm | Via Zoom invitation (register in advance)

Do you remember your favourite story from elementary school? (I hope your answer is a “Yes”!). This is why we tell stories, people remember details when couched in a tale rather than organized in a list. Fast forward to a conversation at a networking event, someone asks “Tell me about yourself”. That’s a powerful question – start with a story about you to make it memorable.

This workshop, through questions, guides your documentation of memorable moments you lived and then stitch those into a bigger story. In a small group setting, peers will share a story and practice ways to create impactful content for the next questions.

Please register in advance:

We will send a link for the workshop to registered participants. Any questions please email: Emily.bell [at] mcgill.ca
